Shawn Radcliffe
I am currently a freelance writer and yoga instructor in Portland, Oregon. In addition to non-fiction articles, I write fiction, mostly short stories, and find that writing creatively is an excellent technique even for non-fiction material. I also host two blogs, one related to yoga (www.branain.com/blog/) and the other various creative writing (www.branain.com/consciousness).
I have a broad education, with undergraduate degrees in Music, Writing and Biology, and a master's degree in Science Education. For the past 10 years, I have worked at various jobs, most related to science publishing and scientific research, with experience writing and editing science and health-related articles, grant applications, websites and marketing materials. I have a strong interest in writing about science, especially for the public, but also an interest in the world in general.
And to add another layer of complexity to my past, I worked as a professional clown and comedy improviser for many years, complete with a dream of running away with the circus.
